Antalya Dosemealti Mosque Project
We started the project in 2017 in Antalya, Turkey, and completed the mosque project in a 4-month period with a team of 60 people, covering a total area of 2500 m2 using Kemalpaşa and Marmara white stones.
Mosques are structures of cultural and religious significance and are meticulously designed for architectural aesthetics, durability, and energy efficiency. Therefore, the use of special materials like white marble on the exterior facades of mosques is a common preference. Here are some important reasons behind this choice:
Aesthetic Elegance: White marble adds a sophisticated elegance to the exterior facade of mosques. It provides a clean, simple, and bright appearance, contributing to the peaceful atmosphere of the worship space. Additionally, the natural brilliance of white marble reflects natural light into the interior of the mosque, making it feel brighter and more open.
Durability: White marble is renowned for its durability. It resists external factors for many years, thus preserving the structural integrity of the mosque and reducing maintenance costs. Moreover, white marble retains its beauty for extended periods without experiencing color fading or deterioration.
Prevention of Heat Loss: White marble prevents the outdoor temperature from spreading into the interior even in hot weather conditions. This helps keep the mosque cool in summer and warm in winter, providing a more comfortable experience for worshippers.
Easy Cleaning and Maintenance: White marble is an easy-to-clean and maintain material. With regular cleaning, it retains its magnificent appearance for many years. Cultural and Religious Expression: White marble symbolizes purity and cleanliness, which is essential for reflecting the religious and cultural values of the mosque.
In conclusion, white marble combines aesthetic beauty, durability, energy efficiency, and cultural expression in mosques. When used on the exterior facades of mosques, it creates a captivating impression for both worshippers inside and visitors outside.
